It’s the start of the week meaning we get to take a look at this week’s top 20 gaming charts, as always these are UK sales charts.
Grand Theft Auto V debuts at the top of the charts this week and will probably stay there for a VERY LONG time. The game made over $800 million in it’s first 24 hours and is believed to have sold over 2.2 million copies in the UK alone according to CVG.
Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 also makes an impressive debut on the charts although we’ll have to wait to see to see if the game has legs. Traditionally speaking, the PES series shows up in the first and then quickly drops out despite the UK being a football heavy nation. I guess no one wants to play as North London.
For whatever reason The Last of Us re-enters the charts and goes all the way up to the third spot. Perhaps there are some new PlayStation 3 owners out there who picked up Grand Theft Auto V and heard The Last of Us was awesome. They heard correctly.
Finally Aliens Colonial Marines somehow manages to crawl it’s way back into the charts, not even the top 20 but rather the top 10. If you’re one of the idiots who bought this game this week, you’re not only a failure as a gamer but as a human being.
