Oh look it’s another Ubisoft leak and this time it’s the Watch Dogs multiplayer trailer. I can’t actually tell if Ubisoft are secretly leaking things or if they really are this bad at keeping things hidden from the public until it’s intended embargo date. To my knowledge this is actually the second time a Watch Dogs trailer has leaked onto the internet early which is kind of ironic when you consider what the whole premise of the game is.
Since the trailer has gone out early we obviously don’t have the details to go with it, all we know is pretty much all you see in the trailer. We see the protagonist Aiden Pearce give chase to another human controller player across the city and then it just randomly cuts to another scene where Pearce is trying to hack another player.
It’s all somewhat reminiscent of the multiplayer modes since in the Assassin’s Creed games but that’s a good thing. I’m bored of seeing the same old team deathmatch first person shooters so any game attempting to do something different, I applaud it.
There’s also been rumblings that Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs both take place in the same universe, basically Aiden Pearce could be what a “modern day assassin” could look like. Sounds pretty cool to me, hopefully there’s some truth to it.
