Ubisoft have issued a new update for Rayman Jungle Run which is available on iOS and Android devices. The update is rather cool in that it adds an extra ten levels free of charge to current owners of the game. Also coming alongside the update is a character pack which allows you to play as Globox and features two additional costumes for Rayman himself, basically standard DLC no one cares about.
To those who have never played Rayman Jungle Run I would actually recommend the game to fans of the series, yes I’m actually recommending a mobile phone game for once. Imagine Rayman Origins but with Rayman on auto run mode with you controlling the jumps and flying around the levels. It sounds pretty terrible but it’s actually good fun and well suited to mobile devices. Rayman Jungle Run doesn’t try to be the console game, instead it’s perfectly content being it’s own mini experience.
This update is hardly going to make up for the lack of Rayman Legends on Wii U which sadly got delayed from launch to sometime in early 2013. At the very least we got a little more Rayman action in the form of this update before the year closes up.
