Warface Campaign Screenshots Released

Warface-Beta

Crytek have released new campaign screenshots from their upcoming free to player shooter Warface. The game is currently being developed by Crytek Kiev and was initially only going to see release in China but thankfully Trion Worlds stepped in meaning gamers in the United States, Europe and Australia will be able now be able to get in on the action.
At the moment Warface is coming to the PC as free to play title with a console version is still up in the air as traditionally neither Microsoft or Sony have had much interest in free to play titles in the past.
Crytek’s Cevat Yerli has stated back in August that he is happy to have the title on any system that embraces free to play and is able to run Warface so it somewhat rules out the possibility of a Games on Demand/PSN release.

I recently had the chance to go hands on with Warface at the Eurogamer Expo and was instantly reminded of my Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory days when I used to wonder how something so awesome could be free.
If you didn’t get a chance to head out to the Eurogamer Expo or did but didn’t get round to checking out Warface then remember that you can still sign up for the closed beta. The reason it’s taking forever is because Warface actually plays a little differently depending on region, in China they’re okay paying to have an advantage but to people like us that’s unacceptable so it’s all about fine tuning the game for different markets.
