So Killer Instinct 3 is a thing now, you’d think I’d be happy about this but nothing could be further from the truth. This is without my biggest nightmare come true, 16 years of waiting for Killer Instinct 3 and all I get is this rubbish. Words cannot even describe just how bad they’ve f**ked this one up.
Okay let’s get right down to it, Killer Instinct for the Xbox One is being developed by Double Helix Games. The same wonderful studio that brought you such classics like G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and Green Lantern: Rise of the Manhunters. Yup, when I want to revive a classic fighter that fans have waited to see return for so long, that’s exactly the developer I want working on the game.

As you can see that looks NOTHING like Killer Instinct, even the announcer sounds like he is trying too hard to be edgy. The game is being farmed out to a developer that doesn’t seem to understand what made the originals so awesome, then again maybe they do and this is their vision of what Killer Instinct is.
I’m writing this post whilst trying to hold back the tears, WHY IS RARE NOT DEVELOPING THIS ONE? Co-developing or supervising my ass, the game is dead on arrival. Please just bring back the original two on Xbox Live Arcade and let’s forget this reboot or whatever it’s supposed to be is even happening.
If the game somehow ends up being cool then I’m more than happy to openly admit I was wrong but until then, I’m VERY upset by what I’m seeing here. Sabrewulf, what have they done to you?
