It must be a slow news day when you’re talking about a Jak and Daxter collectible statue right? Well not quite actually because I LOVE Jak and Daxter. The original is one of the first games I enjoyed on the PlayStation 2 and in my opinion, far superior to the stupid guns and vehicles Naughty Dog decided to bring in for the sequels.
It appears that I’m not the only Jak and Daxter fan as the fine folks over at gaming heads have put together a stunningly accurate rendition of the original Jak and Daxter design. Thank god they didn’t do with Jak II or Jak 3 designs otherwise I might not have even bothered with this post.
I’m loving the little patch of grass on the base of the statute, it gives it that extra little “oh that’s cool” aspect to it. Right this things aren’t cheap, then again you should know that because it’s not called a collectible statue for nothing. Besides this statue actually looks like the source material it came from so none of that rubbish, cool statue but they botched the face that we normally get.
The regular edition of the statue which is what you see about is limited to 750 units whilst the exclusive edition is even smaller at 350 units. The exclusive edition is basically the same thing only with a pretty neat bronze finish to it. Both statues are 15 inches tall and will be available worldwide Q4 2013.
