Let’s just be honest here, inFamous Second Son is the PlayStation 4′s first killer app. You can take your Killzone Shadow Fall, DriveClub, Knack and quite frankly stick them. inFamous Second Son is clearly the the reason why someone would pay £349 for a PlayStation 4.
Unfortunately inFamous Second Son isn’t going to make the PlayStation 4 launch, instead it’s arriving sometime in early 2014 which isn’t all that long to wait assuming the PlayStation 4 does indeed arrive in November later this year. It’s probably for the best that the game has it’s own time to shine as opposed to getting lost in the crowded launch line up.
As for the game itself, well it’s the 3rd inFamous title but boring Cole McGrath is out and instead we have Delsin Rowe who just seems way cooler anyway.
Anyway that’s enough chatter on my end, please do give the trailer a look. It’s not one of those rubbish smoke and mirrors trailers but instead straight up gameplay one instead. I hope it gets you just as excited about the game as I am.
Currently I’m working my way through inFamous 2, the graphics and gameplay are better than the first but everything else seems worse. Story, tone and setting all feel lackluster compared to the first game not to mention Cole looks and sounds pretty rubbish in the sequel. Here’s hoping that inFamous Second Son will be be the sequel that the original inFamous truly deserves.
