Konami Digital Entertainment have announced some details about it’s upcoming DLC for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.
The content, called Revelations, will be released on the 25th of March and explores a new narrative strain following Alucard.
Revelations is a prequel of sorts, with the story taking place before the apocalyptic events of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2. The plot of Revelations feeds into the events of the full game revealing how Alucard is inextricably linked to the fate of his father, Gabriel, and the full extent of his involvement in the story of Dracula.
The new story takes place in the same world as Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and, as well as expanding the narrative, gives players new, powerful abilities including the use of Glaciem and Igneas. Alucard has his own, unique vampric abilities including: being able to transform into a swarm of bats, a wolf and the power to turn back time. Revelations also has new locations and brings the story of the Belmonts to it’s complete conclusion.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is the sequel to Lords of Shadow and is the 35th game in the Castlevania franchise. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is available on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, with revelations out on the 25th of March.
