EA have released a trailer for Battlefield 3 Aftermath for all owners of Battlefield 3 Premium. Don’t worry if you don’t own Battlefield 3 Premium you can still get in on the Aftermath action, you just have to wait a little longer. Speaking of waiting allow me to help you understand EA’s weird release schedule when it comes to Battlefield 3 DLC. If you picked up the PS3 version then you guys get it first because EA screwed you over.
PS3 Battlefield 3 Premium: November 27th
PS3 Battlefield 3 Regular: 11 December 11th December
Xbox 360 & PC Battlefield 3 Premium: 4th December
Xbox 360 & PC Battlefield 3 Regular: 18th December
So there you have, all the release dates for Aftermath laid out as nicely as possible so it’s easy to understand. It does not really matter anyway because everyone is still going to get confused and visit each system’s stores on the wrong day.
Aftermath is part of the Battlefield 3 Premium package which is basically a season pass that ends up saving you a bit of money if you’re planning to pick up all the Battlefield 3 DLC. This is the fourth DLC pack out of the planned five so we’re reaching the end of Battlefield 3, the last DLC release is appropriately titled “Endgame”.
Here’s what you can expect from Aftermath.
- Deliver death in silence with the all new crossbow
- Four new maps including Epicenter and Markaz Market that introduces a fresh, destructive take on urban combat
- Three new vehicles modified to showcase ingenuity and firepower
- New Scavenger game mode, an objective based Conquest mode where lost soldiers armed only with a pistol must search the environment to find more powerful weapons and increasing their chance for survival
- New assignments, achievements and dog tags
